Answer schools' AI safety questions with evidence, not reassurance
A fixed-price, fully written service for UK edtech suppliers. We organise your evidence against the Department for Education's Generative AI: product safety standards (13 areas, updated 19 January 2026), find the gaps, and hand you a pack you can send to a school's DPO and safeguarding lead. All by email. No calls, no meetings, no bespoke contracts.
What it is
- Evidence organisation against every DfE expectation (87 rows)
- A plain gap analysis with actions and dates
- Drafted DPIA inputs, risk register, data-flow diagram, release test protocol and complaints workflow
- A procurement-ready summary PDF
What it is not
- Not a certification, kitemark or "DfE approved" badge (there is no such scheme)
- Not legal advice and not a DPIA sign-off
- Not a safety guarantee
- Not a review by a specialist DPO, safeguarding lead or child-development expert. High-risk pupil-facing products should get those too; this pack gives them what they need.
Why suppliers are being asked now
The free sample: our own product, gaps included
We ran the full process on our own live product, the Adam Hale Report Writer, a local-first tool that drafts school report comments from AI-drafted sentence banks. It is a real product, so the gaps are real.
- All 39,611 sentences in 23 banks scanned for insults, labels, diagnostic terms and wellbeing statements; every hit reviewed by a person.
- 7 browser tests on the live app (7 of 7 pass), including a canary name that must never leave the browser.
- Honest findings, for example: the privacy notice lacks the controller's identity, lawful basis and the ICO complaint route; there is no published complaints route; no real teachers have tested it yet; 280 sentences describe a child's feelings and are chosen by rating, not observation.
In the ZIP: intake questionnaire, 13-area evidence matrix (Excel), risk register and complaints log, DPIA input pack, data-flow register and diagram, release test protocol and test set, complaints and escalation workflow, the procurement summary PDF and the raw test outputs.
The 13 areas
Five areas apply only to learner-facing products (DfE use cases 2, 4, 5 and 6). The other eight apply to every product, including teacher tools such as report writers and marking assistants.

Why these prices: comparable human-led services we found in October 2026 start at about £1,650 (school AI audits) to £3,500 (fixed-scope AI red-teaming), with calls and scoping meetings. We are async, new, and do not provide a specialist DPO or safeguarding sign-off, so we charge less and say so.
How it works
- Send the form below. Say which option you want. Checkout is not switched on yet, so we reply by email within 2 UK working days with the standard terms and a payment link.
- Pay through our payment provider. Paddle or Lemon Squeezy acts as the merchant of record: it is the seller on your invoice and handles VAT. You accept the standard terms at checkout. No negotiation, no custom contract.
- Fill in the written intake. Answer the questionnaire (see the sample) and attach what you have. Never send pupil data or real safeguarding records.
- Receive the pack by email within the stated working days, in Word, Excel and PDF.
- One round of written revisions within 30 days. Everything happens by email with Adam Hale.
Questions
Is this a certification or a "DfE approved" mark?
No. DfE runs no accreditation scheme for these standards. The pack organises your evidence and shows gaps honestly. Schools still make their own judgement.
Do you need access to our product?
Not for the diagnostic. For the full pack, a test account lets us run the release test set (for example jailbreak, disclosure and distress probes) and record results. We never need real pupil data, and we only run the published tests: no load testing, no attempts to break your security beyond them.
Who is Adam Hale?
An independent maker of education software and resources, including the Report Writer used in the sample. Not a lawyer, DPO or safeguarding professional. The work is careful document and test work, and the pack says plainly what it does not cover.
Our product is a pupil-facing chatbot. Is this enough?
It is a strong start, not the end. Pupil-facing products carry the heaviest standards (filtering, monitoring, mental health, emotional development). We recommend an independent DPO and safeguarding review as well; the pack gives them a structured file to review.
How is our material kept confidential?
Used only to prepare your pack, shared with no one, and deleted 90 days after delivery unless you take the annual update. See the terms and privacy note.
Can we just buy the templates?
Yes: the £149 toolkit. It includes every template and the worked sample, with no review from us.
Request the pack or ask a question
No obligation. We reply by email, usually within 2 UK working days. No mailing list, no follow-up sequence.
Only want the templates? Pay with USDC on Base: the £149 toolkit for 149 USDC, delivered automatically by a signed download link.
